Bowly Huckets! It’s time for our first hero! The Foon is a champion who wields the power of spoonerisms. What’s a spoonerism, you say? A spoonerism is when the initial sounds or letters of two words are switched. It’s fun if you can create real words, but as you can see from that initial exclamation, it is not always necessary.
Origin:
While listening to a sad ballad in his belly jeans, he was eating a bad salad with jelly beans and grilled cheese sandwich made from chilled grease. Suddenly, a sighing flosser in a flying saucer zapped his fork and spoon giving him the power of spoonerisms!
Powers:
Switches the beginnings of words in people’s dialogue to create ridiculous spoonerisms. He does this by lodging his foon (fork + spoon) underneath the beginning of two words. He then whacks the ends, popping them into the air, thus switching them
Master at hand-to-hand combat with the foon
Stupendously buff! He is a very buff Foon
Fun facts about spoonerisms:
Although the name spoonerism is attributed to William Archibald Spooner because he used them so much, he can only be verified as saying one
Many musicians use spoonerisms for their names. But be careful in doing this because Disney recently served a cease-and-desist to the artist San Holo
I also love the spoonerism-inspired musician Com Truise (I listen to him while I code). Do you know Tom Cruise’s real name? Thomas Cruise Mapother IV
The first patent for the spork was issued on Feb 3, 1874. Technically spork is a portmanteau. (Trying to cut off the angry emails before they start rolling in)
Teammates and Rivals:
Stop Chick - Baby Chicken who is a master of chopsticks and sidekick to the Foon
The Spoofe - Nemesis to The Foon who prefers to use kniferisms
Coatting Burd - Former sidekick to The Foon who learned to use forkerisms

Check out my website at https://exclamachine.github.io/PunctuatorsGame/ where you can control The Foon to make him create spoonerisms through the “Do Wordplay!” button. I have to give credit to my twin too, who helped me create this character.
